Greetings, my Friend(s). A few Words of Introduction... Shamanic Workers know that many Illnesses and Conditions, while physical, emotional and/or mental in nature, and many eminently treatable with western Medicines and Practices, are ultimately spiritual in their source. For true Freedom from the Malady's SOURCE, spiritual Healing must also take place. We also know that this spiritual Healing, while encouraged and even "turned on" through shamanic Interventions, ultimately starts and comes to Completion because of the Belief of the Person needing Healing in the Process!. Even when negative Energies are removed by the Shaman, it is still the Client who needs to go into Healing for the Mental, Emotional and Physical Aspects of the Intrusion. Shamans can and often do assist in this follow-on work.
Put succinctly, Shamanic Workers do not heal...we open the Doorway to Self-healing by engaging YOUR spiritual Powers. We are the "hollow Bone" through which Spirit Helpers pass vital Understanding and Knowledge to you for this Purpose. I have made over 850 Journeys to the Spirit World, a Place from which all Reality is manifested, empowered and maintained. This is a World populated by Spirit Beings and Forces of both great Love and Healing Power, and also of Ill Intent and Anger. Underpinning this Spirit World, of course, is the Source, a Conscious Awareness of Love, Joy and Giving, which has deliberately created the opposing Forces (Duality, Yin-Yang, etc.) in our Existence to give us Choices. This Source, from which we sprang and to which we return, and which is in everyone and everything, is called, among other names, "God" and "Great Spirit." Long ago it was called the "Tao De Ching", which emphasizes that the "Nothingness" out of which all Matter and Energy springs is the All, the Source. When you find this empty, silent Awareness that IS the Tao inside yourself, for it IS there, you are on the road to Healing and Enlightenment. The nicest metaphor for this "Emptiness" comes from the Tao, which I paraphrase here: "It is not the Four Walls of a Room but the Emptiness inside that provides the Usefulness thereof. Similarly, it is not the Cup but the Hollow within which provides Use."
My Job is to ensure you are restored to Light when the Darkness moves in to interfere with your Sacred Path. Our Culture, in its social, political, and religious Mind-Constucts, is not oriented toward true Spirit Knowledge and Power; we are much easier to keep in Lock-step by the powerful Few (Media, Government and Business working together beyond View) when we are clueless about the Ultimate, personally reachable Source of all Power and Freedom. How do 800 people control 8 million people? Dumb them down! I can help you learn about your true Self so you can walk in Peace, Centeredness and Health, a Source of Love and Healing to others. Most of us already know there is more to Life than consuming and competition, 24-7. Shamans have known for millennia how to open our own Minds and Hearts to the Truth about Existence, of which our physical World is merely a small Part. Walking this true Path allows one to treat all and everything with Respect without getting attached, or losing oneself therein. After all, you are the Consciousness that created everything...how can you judge or dislike it?
Shamanic Practioners often supplement the Treatments offerred by regular medical Interventions, not replace them. Ultimately only you can decide whether any given Treatment is being effective enough to satisfy you, not your Doctor...and not your Shaman. And so this is the purpose of this Site: to educate, encourage, enliven and ultimately to offer the Interventions that encourage this spiritual Cleansing. 10/7/09 Been a while since an update. I am still, of course, perfoming Journeys, Divinations, Astrology readings, etc., with new Clients coming in at the rate of perhaps 1-2 a month. I have had a wonderful summer of incorporating Tolle's Teachings (The Power of Now and A New Earth) with the Tao De Ching, and am very comfortable now with my place in the Universe. It is vital to separate the thinking mind from conscious awareness in order to achieve balance, inner peace, and a loving relationship with all things. There is no such thing as Peace of Mind...there is only the Peace of NO Mind. As the Tao says, what contains the usefulness of four walls of a room?...the empty space they contain. What cotains the usefulness of a cup?...the hollow interior. What best defines the usefulness of the human body?...the stillness (the Tao, the inner knowing) within. I have been able to begin to do this, thanks to Tolle and the Tao. I believe I can help anyone with anything now. I plan to begin a series (I hope :) ) of public lectures at the Shaman's Dream in North Hampton, NH, soon. I am now drumming in a 50s-something band, and preparing for my first small role in a Christmas play to be performed in Hampton in December. Of course, I still work 6 full days a week, which is why the small number of new clients is OK for now. But I take new clients no matter what...I will make the time for you.
5/18/09 Hard to believe it took this long to add a new note. :) I have been posting blogs to MySpace, and working with clients...and becoming evermore aware, more conscious, getting away from the egoic mind and rote emotional responses. The most profound events of the past few months have all been internal. I am very deeply engrossed with Eckhart Tolle's Power of Now and A New Earth, which should be read in that order. His treatment of the western mindset and its built-in "insanity" are correct and very profound. When two (or more) people, totally locked up in their minds and emotions, interact, Tolle calls this interaction "unconscious", because the Spirit and its unconditional Love, at the basis of every life form, are completely covered over, negated, neutralized. This leads to all sorts of problems and competition, and even relationships that appear to be sound are that way only because the competing egos find satisfaction and self-maintenance in them. It is a guarantee that once one of those egos no longer is fed and gratified, that relationship will collapse, unless enlightenment, that is, awareness of the eternal Spirit Self, is present. And that awareness can only be felt in the Now, the present moment, for the past and future are merely mind constructions. Anyway, in order to detach myself from ego, I decided in a dream yesterday to stop calling myself a Shaman, for the ego finds gratification and promotes separation from others in that title. Better is a title that describes what I DO versus what I am, and the Spirits told me to use the term Spirit Checker...and so it is. Peace.
2/7/09Just to keep you up to speed, the Hawk Signs since the New Year of Jan 26 have been fabulously positive. All indications are that this will be a tremendously powerful and successful year for my Shamanic Work. I have placed a flyer in a local, natural products store in my home town, and permission to do that has been hard to get...until now. I have already been at work, having done 6 journeys for clients and myself since the 26th, and they have been image-rich and very effective. Elsewhere, particularly at my MySpace site, I have described in great detail a paranormal event that I witnessed right on my own street in early January. More importantly, this Event seems to indicate that if one is open to all possibities, one sees them. So if you have limited your perceptional tools through restricted beliefs, a lot can happen RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU and you will not notice it at all...the Brain will neutralize it so as to prevent its being registered.
Another wonderful Happenstance is my falling into having the CDs of author Ekhardt Tolle reading his Book, The Power of Now. This truly is a fabulous Read, not only because it is rife with shamanically-based Wisdom, but also because it ties this in with the ancient but totally awesome Tao De Ching, modern Views of the Mind and its Powers, and even quantum Physics. So this is a highly recommended Book.... a must read.
So now we head into the new year, armed with higher spiritual power and protection, and I welcome any and all to seek spiritual advancement here.
1/13/09 Much has happened in the past two weeks, and I have added some of this to the new Feature above, wherein I reproduce my MySpace blogs. One of the latest highlights a paranormal event I observed in my home town on January 3. This was a first for me, and indicates my own Sensing is getting stronger, the wall between Dimensions is getting thinner, or both. Hope you read it...
